Pimp Blitzkid und Freaks Off The Leash - Doppelkonzert
Not only the sales of red New York Yankees baseball caps and baggy pants increased dramatically after this phenomenon appeared around the turn of the millennium:
With over 40 million records sold from just 6 albums, Limp Bizkit is still one of the most successful bands of the last two decades.
Linkin Park? Rammstein? ...started as bands in the opening act for the "soft cookies". Eminem? Britney Spears? Christina Aguilera? ...with frontman Fred Durst, they all had affairs in one way or another and the complete X and Y generations were always well informed thanks to all media. Despite all the musical controversies in the past, Limp Bizkit has established itself as a timeless band, uniting fans of all genres, with their still refreshingly sounding mix of hip-hop, metal, and plenty of groove.
The musicians around Rich Durst (vocals), who could be Fred Durst's diabolical twin (both visually and vocally), Andy Borland (guitar), Luke Otto (drums), Chris Rivers (bass), and DJ Neakho (surprise: DJ) formed themselves as a Limp Bizkit tribute band in 2013 and have been covering the American crossover icons in all aspects since then. They are probably the best of their kind worldwide.
Songs from all albums of the successful band, which has been in existence for over 20 years now, are included in Pimp Blitzkid's repertoire and are presented in a live show with all the typical elements of the "Limp Bizkit style" and much attention to detail. The quirky outfits and instruments of guitarist Wes Borland, the almost arrogant but always with a twinkle in his eye facade of Fred Durst wearing his "red hat to the back", and last but not least, the hits interpreted with the uninhibited energy of the original such as "Rollin'", "Break Stuff", "Behind Blue Eyes", "Take A Look Around", or "My Way", not only make the hearts of die-hard fans beat faster but merge the whole audience into an euphoric, celebrating, and dancing unity.
