The puppet show follows the fairy tale as passed down by the Brothers Grimm. The princess, the frog prince, the king, the queen, the loyal Heinrich, the golden ball, the well, the bed, and the wall participate and experience the princess's redemption from the disgusting frog.
The figures are shaped into expressive, individual characters, yet the simple fairy-tale typicality of the figures, the props, and the story is preserved.
Matthias Kuchta is not only a puppeteer but also a narrator and moderator between the individual characters. He actively engages the audience and creates a playful closeness to both the small and large viewers.
