Ein böser Zauberer hat die schöne junge Prinzessin Odette in einen Schwan
verwandelt, als diese sich zu nahe an das Ufer seines Sees heranwagte. In
der Nähe des Sees liegt ein altes Schloss, wo eine schöne Fürstin mit ihrem Sohn Siegfried lebt. Prinz Siegfried fühlt sich von den wunderschönen
Schwänen im See magisch angezogen. Er ahnt nicht, dass es in Wirklichkeit
junge Mädchen sind, die alle durch den bösen Zauberer in Schwäne
verwandelt wurden, und die immer um Mitternacht für eine Stunde
menschliche Gestalt annehmen. Prinz Siegfried verliebt sich in die Prinzessin Odette und erfährt von ihr das Geheimnis ihrer Verwandlung, und dass sie nur durch die Liebe und Treue eines Mannes von dem Zauber erlöst werden kann...
So beginnt das wunderschöne Märchen des Schwanensee, des am meisten geliebten Ballettklassikers von Pjotr Tschaikowski. Schwanensee ist das populärste Ballett überhaupt. Für viele ist es ein Synonym für Ballett
geworden. Darüber hinaus zählt die Musik zu Schwanensee zu den schönsten Ballettpartituren schlechthin.
Hier kommt nun eine ganz besondere, wunderschöne Version dieses
Ballettklassikers für alle Kinder im Alter von 4 bis 94 Jahren auf die Bühne,
für Kinder geschaffen, doch keineswegs kindisch! Die liebevolle Vorstellung
wird erstmals vom Prager Festspiel Ballett anspruchsvoll und mit großer
Eleganz getanzt. Farbenfrohe Kostüme und ein fantasievolles Bühnenbild
versprechen jedes Kinderherz zu verzaubern.
Die Geschichte wird dem Zuschauer durch die charismatische Schauspielerin Melinda Thompson als Erzählerin nahe gebracht, die mit eingängigen kleinen Gedichten voller Witz, Charme und Liebe Jung und Alt in den Bann zieht.

völlig neue Choreographie bleibt ganz im traditionellen Stil des berühmten
ersten Choreographen des Schwanensees, Marius Petipa, der allgemein als Vater des klassischen Balletts gilt.

An evil wizard has turned the beautiful young princess Odette into a swan when she dared to come too close to the shore of his lake. Near the lake lies an old castle, where a beautiful princess lives with her son Siegfried. Prince Siegfried feels magically drawn to the beautiful swans in the lake. He does not suspect that they are actually young girls, all transformed into swans by the evil wizard, and who take on human form for just one hour at midnight. Prince Siegfried falls in love with Princess Odette and learns from her the secret of her transformation, and that she can only be freed from the spell through the love and loyalty of a man...
Thus begins the beautiful fairy tale of Schwanensee, the most beloved ballet classic by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Schwanensee is the most popular ballet of all time. For many, it has become a synonym for ballet. Furthermore, the music of Schwanensee is regarded as one of the most beautiful ballet scores ever.
Here now comes a very special, beautiful version of this ballet classic for all children aged 4 to 94, created for children, yet by no means childish! The endearing performance will be danced for the first time by the Prague Festival Ballet with sophistication and great elegance. Colorful costumes and a creative stage design promise to enchant every child's heart.
The story is brought closer to the audience by the charismatic actress Melinda Thompson as the narrator, who captivates young and old alike with catchy little poems full of wit, charm, and love.
The Prague Festival Ballet with soloists from leading Prague opera houses transports you to the wonderland of the playful and romantic, fairy-tale and dreamy, which should be part of every child's dream! The choreographer is the talented young dancer Pavla Červčiková – her completely new choreography remains entirely in the traditional style of the famous first choreographer of Schwanensee, Marius Petipa, who is widely regarded as the father of classical ballet.
