4. Abonnementkonzert - 70 Jahre Detmolder Kammerorchester
The Detmold Chamber Orchestra celebrates its 70th anniversary. However, it has not aged at all. Quite the opposite. Based on a tradition that has grown over the decades and is always future-oriented, the ensemble excites with infectious musical joy and a common spirit that can also be found in the season motto: Connectedness. This includes not only the connections among themselves. It also encompasses artists from near and far as well as institutions and the people of the region to whom the musicians feel a friendly connection.
Just like the pianist Alfredo Perl, who was the artistic director of the DKO from 2009 to 2022. Now he returns as a soloist at the piano to his former orchestra. The native Chilean initially studied in his hometown with Carlos Botto and later with Günter Ludwig in Cologne and Maria Curcio in London. His worldwide concert activity has taken him to the most important concert halls, including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Großer Musikvereinssaal and Konzerthaus Vienna, Herkulessaal Munich, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Konzerthaus Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Alte Oper Frankfurt. As a remarkably versatile artist, he has performed with renowned orchestras including the London Symphony and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, as well as Melbourne and Sydney Symphony. In 1997, he made his debut at the Promenade Concerts in the Royal Albert Hall in London. Alfredo Perl is a professor of piano at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
