Cara - Celtic Folk
CARA is a multinational Celtic-Folk band with members from Ireland, Scotland, and Germany. They create their own sound, with the voices of the two singers Gudrun Walther and Kim Edgar at the center. The songs alternate with rapid instrumental pieces, brought to life by the virtuoso interplay of Gudrun Walther's fiddle and Uilleann pipes, the Irish bagpipe. The latter is played by Cara's new member Simon Pfisterer, who studied this extraordinary instrument at the university in Limerick. The band’s elaborate arrangements bear the signature of Jürgen Treyz, guitarist, producer, and musical mastermind of the band. Rounded off by the charmingly humorous presentation, an evening with Cara guarantees the highest musical enjoyment and best entertainment. Multiple Irish Music Awards, tours, and acclaimed concerts in the USA, Australia, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, France, Benelux, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland attest to the band's success story.
