Billy Joel Songbook
The Billy Joel Songbook is back! Elio Pace is bringing his acclaimed tribute show on tour through Germany and Switzerland in February and March 2025.
Celebrated singer/songwriter and pianist Elio Pace returns to Germany with his award-winning tribute show "The Billy Joel Songbook." This follows the talented musician's successful debut in February with performances in Berlin and a sold-out show, where he pays homage to one of the most iconic musicians, singer-songwriters, and composers of the 20th century.
With "The Billy Joel Songbook," Elio Pace and his fantastic band celebrate the legendary US musician with a unique blend of pop, rhythm and blues, jazz, and rock 'n' roll. Audiences can expect an electrifying musical journey with over 30 fantastic songs from Billy Joel, including hits like "The Longest Time," "She's Always A Woman," "An Innocent Man," "Uptown Girl," "Tell Her About It," "The River Of Dreams," "We Didn't Start The Fire," and "Piano Man."
Not only are the show's attendees in for a treat, but Elio is also thrilled to be back on stage: "Billy Joel's music is timeless. He is a brilliant composer and in my humble opinion, the greatest singer/songwriter of all time. I am truly touched and humbled that so many people want to see and hear us play his music. I can't wait to go back on tour."
As a singer/songwriter, pianist, producer, and arranger, Elio has performed with a host of stars, including Brian May, Huey Lewis, Glen Campbell, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Lulu, Mike Rutherford, Don McLean, Tom Chaplin, Debbie Reynolds, and Martha Reeves, to name a few.
The late British radio host Sir Terry Wogan was a big fan and described Elio as "simply sensational." In 2010, Elio Pace was the musical director of Wogan's highly popular program "Weekend Wogan" on BBC Radio 2 and featured as the main artist in all 35 episodes of the year. Huey Lewis also raves, "Elio is great... I'm a big fan." And Queen's Brian May puts it succinctly, "Elio rocks." They, along with audiences worldwide, are captivated by his soulful voice and exceptional piano playing.
In 2013 and 2014, Elio Pace had a unique pleasure: he was invited to step into Billy Joel's shoes and perform with Joel's original touring band from 1971-72 at five reunion concerts in the USA. Following the immense success of these shows, Elio embarked on the debut tour of "The Billy Joel Songbook," selling out theaters across the UK.
In 2019, Elio's sensational concert film "The Billy Joel Songbook Live" was honored at the "17th Annual Independent Music Awards" in New York City as the "Best Overall Long Form Music Video."
