Domstürmer, Räuber und Bläck Fööss live! - Wissen op Kölsch
After the great successes in 2021 and 2023, the event "Wissen op Kölsch" is back for another round. Visitors can once again look forward to a "Kölsch" evening, featuring bands from the top tier of the Cologne music scene. This time: Domstürmer, Räuber, and Bläck Föös. For the first time, the event will kick off with a musically high-quality "warm-up." Starting at 6:30 PM, the "Party Factory" will prepare the audience for an evening filled with atmosphere, together with DJ Stocki, who will accompany the entire evening.
For optimal catering, this second edition of the event will also offer snacks, a cocktail stand, and Pittermännchen, as expected.
The band DOMSTÜRMER, led by frontman Micky Nauber, was founded in 2006 and is known for being one of the most audience-friendly Kölsch bands. The passionate musicians have a reputation as an outstanding live band, delivering a powerful sound and feeling at home in catchy tunes, profound lyrics, wordplay, and irony. Their hits like "Ohne Dom, Ohne Rhing, Ohne Sunnesching," "Meine Liebe, Meine Stadt Mein Verein," and "Mach Dein Ding" are experienced live in the truest sense of the word, especially when one lets themselves be carried away by the crowd – just as frontman Micky often does while mixing with the audience.
The RÄUBER have been part of the top league of Kölsch bands for decades, and in 2024, they will celebrate their "jeckes" 3×11-year anniversary – a proud 33 YEARS OF RÄUBER. As RÄUBER "3.0," they achieve a fantastic comeback. With their two session hits WIGGA DIGGA (2023) and OBEN UNTEN (2024), they win the WDR Jeck Duel one after the other and achieve top positions in the download charts. Of course, hits like "Für die Iwigkeit," "Dat es Heimat," and "Am Eigelstein es Musik" must not be missed during their performance in Wissen.
The third band in the lineup is the BLÄCK FÖÖSS. The "Fööss" were founded on August 15, 1970. They have been an integral part of the Cologne cultural scene ever since and are as much a part of Cologne as the Cathedral. The band has a legacy of 52 years with consistently between 200 and 250 performances per year. With 43 albums and more than 450 songs, this is the proud record of half a century of musical creation. The band's contribution to preserving the Kölsch language is widely acknowledged, and many songs from their vast catalog of more than 400 titles have long since become evergreens. Some have even reached the status of folk songs and are firmly part of the Kölsch repertoire. In 2022, the band celebrated their 50+2 anniversary with three sold-out concerts in front of more than 20,000 spectators at Roncalliplatz under the shadow of Cologne Cathedral. In the New Year's concert 22/23 at the Lanxess Arena, Bömmel and Erry bid farewell from the band after 52 years, and starting in 2023, the Fööss are now on the road with a fresh lineup.
The organizer of this event is the Wissener Schützenverein e.V. 1870.
