"Schwanengesang" oder Punkt Punkt Pause Punkt - eine Komödie frei nach Anton Tschechow
by and with Cornelia Heyse and Matthias Brenner
An old actor awakens on stage at night. He has obviously been forgotten there after a performance. He looks into the black hole of the empty audience and back into the void of his life.
Then an old prompter appears. Due to the circumstances of life outside, the theater has become her refuge for some time. Now the mismatched pair will spend the night together.
In the struggle against loneliness and their fears, they argue, play, and laugh. In passing, they both work through their lives and encourage each other.
In addition to Anton P. Chekhov, texts by Gogol, Hauptmann, Kunze, Mühsam, Pushkin, Shakespeare, and finally by Heyse and Brenner themselves will be heard.
Premiere: February 22, 2025 Duration: 1 hour 10 minutes / no intermission
