We are all united by a healthy half-knowledge regarding this issue, as well as a creeping feeling that the healthcare reforms of the past 30 years may not have been the saviors they were sold to us as: chronically understaffed and underpaid nursing staff, months of waiting for a specialist appointment, premature discharges from the hospital on one hand and too many unnecessary surgeries on the other, record profits for private clinic operators, but public university hospitals deep in the red – all of this and more are the consequences of the neoliberal restructuring of our healthcare system.

Or is everything perhaps different? Should we simply take a bit more responsibility for our health, smoke and drink less, and not flood the emergency rooms for every little thing to save, for example, the money needed for better pay for nursing staff? Can we say, fortunately, that private investors are pouring their money into healthcare, because the state has none left? Would the system have long since collapsed without the previous reforms and hospital privatizations?

With "Sound of Silence," they achieved international breakthrough, and Simon & Garfunkel became not only icons of folk rock but also figureheads for an entire generation of pacifists. However, as much as their voices harmonized in their songs, so great was the disharmony of their "on-and-off" relationship. Art Garfunkel always drew focus with his angelic voice, although the undeniable musical brain of the duo was Paul Simon.

After only five very successful albums, Simon & Garfunkel permanently separated in 1971, although they occasionally performed together for special occasions.
