George Gershwin's career unfolds as a classic American success story – from dishwasher to millionaire. Along with his brother Ira, he wrote America's first opera: "Porgy and Bess". Familie Flöz - Feste

Atmospherically strong Flöz production with its very own mix of poetry and gentle magic - a fairy tale without words for adults.

In a stately house by the sea, a wedding is supposed to take place. In the back, in the dark courtyard, there is great excitement: deliveries are made, cleaning, tidying up, guarding, and disposing. Sentenced to stand in the background, the servants struggle amidst the hustle and bustle of preparations for the grand celebration for their dignity and respect from the strong and wealthy.

Suddenly, a strange woman appears. Pregnant and laden with a heavy backpack, she seeks refuge in the courtyard. In exchange for protection and the essentials, she discreetly offers her help, and as if by magic, everything changes. Rigidity gives way to flexibility, unattainable wishes become reality, and panic attacks are soothed by the power of new life.

FESTE is a poetic blend of bitter tragedy and slapstick. A tragicomic story about the pursuit of individual happiness.

Double Drums - All you can BEAT

Sound experiences full of magic and surprises!

In the beginning was the rhythm – that's how it was for the two. Even as children, Philipp Jungk and Alexander Glöggler searched the kitchen for pots and built a small drum set out of them – basically, they still do that today. However, now it's on a worldwide scale, with multiple awards, performing together or with large orchestras! The boundaries blur between classical, groove, ambition, and entertainment.

Their new program All you can BEAT promises a unique percussion experience. The duo transforms everyday objects like garbage cans, gasoline cans, and traffic signs into captivating beats. At the same time, they make the entire world of percussion instruments, from vibraphone to marimbaphone, shine in a new light. They will present original compositions as well as global hits like Enjoy the Silence, Nothing else matters, or film music from Das Boot or Star Wars in completely novel, surprising versions.

Alex Glöggler and Philipp Jungk turn their stage into a place where the rhythm of everyday life becomes a hypnotic symphony. The energy and joy of playing from these two likable drummers transfers to the audience from the very first second — regardless of age. It's this mix of impressive precision, creativity, and engaging entertainment that makes the Double Drums program perhaps the most diverse percussion show in Europe — it is, as the Süddeutsche Zeitung titled it, simply "more than just Bum-Bum-Tschak." Internationales Klavierfestival junger Meister - "Young Spirit - Skilled Hands"

For the 27th time, the International Festival Young Masters takes place in the Lake Constance region!

In 2020, Peter Vogel developed a new project. Under the motto "Young Spirit - Skilled Hands" internationally renowned artists and selected young masters come together, rehearse extensively, discuss stylistic and interpretive aspects of the works, and finally perform together on multiple occasions. The established musicians act as instructors, sharing their many years of experience. On the other hand, they engage as equal partners in chamber music with the highly talented students - winners of prestigious international competitions - who contribute technical brilliance, curiosity, freshness, and youthful enthusiasm.

The audience and the press were thrilled by the new format. The Memminger Zeitung wrote under the headline "With gripping intensity" in its title about "acclaim for brilliant collaboration between renowned and young masters." The Schwäbische Zeitung stated in the cultural section, among other things: "The 'young spirit' in the sense of the joy of discovery and making music ideally remains with all musicians, and 'skilled hands' are also possessed by the young ones who present themselves very successfully at international competitions and festivals. Chamber music connects performers of all ages and experience levels."

The exact lineup and program will be announced later.

The founder and artistic director of the International Festival Young Masters and birdmusic is Peter Vogel.

Küss langsam - Comedy-Schauspiel von Michael Ehnert

An equally breathtaking and comical tour de force through the male and female images of our time.

In film and television, love stories always end at the moment of highest happiness: embrace, deep gaze into the eyes, long kiss, great sex, and then - cut! Unfortunately, we never find out how the envy-inducing dream couples deal with the subsequent everyday relationship struggles. The bitter truth is: They don't handle it! Just like everyone else, dream couple or not. And so, the dreamy romance of Michael and Jennifer Ehnert also ends in front of the divorce judge.

Unfortunately, the embattled couple must wait for two more hours before an official end is drawn under their marital war, as a whole hall of divorcees is ahead of them in line. Enough time for the two to review how it all began - and how it all fell apart.

The audience witnesses a ludicrous love relationship with verbal bullets on the wayside, dialogues like landmines, and an inexhaustible cornucopia of meanness and insults.

Otrava - "Spielfreude"

Stirring "klezmer-Balkan stew" that is truly enjoyable!

This young and diverse ensemble, composed of instruments of various colors, has something to say! Classically trained, Otrava has early on tasted the music of the wide world. They met in the youth orchestra before setting out to create their very own and special concerts.

Now, after years of friendship and more than "111" concerts at parties, bars, restaurants, festivals, and open-air events, the musicians of Otrava venture into new territory, experimenting with new line-ups, new repertoire, and new sounds. Their music is a blend of Balkan folk music, Klezmer, original compositions, and Roma songs. It unleashes a wild firework of joy and virtuosity, as well as melancholy, heartache, and the longing of lost love. There are beats to dance to, melodies to indulge in, pounding hearts, sparkling joy in playing, and a twinkle in the eye.

Medea - nach Euripides

A thrilling production that gets under your skin.

Medea helped Jason in her homeland Colchis, protected him, and killed for him. He promised to love her and to live with her. They flee together to his homeland Corinth and live there on the outskirts of society, which does not accept Medea, the outsider, the barbarian, as an equal, while she welcomes Jason, the Greek hero, as one of her own. Nevertheless, the two live there peacefully for ten years with their two children until Jason, without Medea's knowledge, marries the king's daughter to rise socially.

This shakes Medea to the core of her being. The pain of the broken vow, her disappointment, and her boundless rage she negotiates publicly. She takes the audience with her in her struggle for justice to a point where even her closest confidante can no longer follow her: the murder of her own children to completely destroy Jason.

The story of Medea and Jason fascinates over the centuries: a love as great as that of Romeo and Juliet, and which also leads to catastrophe. Woman and man, love and calculation, home and alienation, right and wrong, these are the themes of the play, which begins with a promise that is broken.

Tango de Amor - Musiktheater nach der Novelle von Esther Vilar - Veranstaltung im Rahmen des Bodenseefestivals

How much freedom does a love need so that the passion for one another does not fade away? Can a love even exist without freedom?

“The only man I ever wanted in my life, I nearly got again and again. How much I would have liked to lay my sacred freedom at his feet. He didn’t want it.”

The narrator in Esther Vilar's novella not only tries to delve into the vibrant zest for life that is inherent in tango music, but as a former mathematics professor, meticulously searches for a mathematical formula for “lasting passion.” For this, she focuses on the highly prominent love couple in Buenos Aires, Chucho Santelmo – one of the most successful tango musicians of all time – and his lover Nina Gluckstein. The two seem to maintain their passionate relationship at the height of love's happiness for many years. For Nina Gluckstein, there is indeed a sure way to bind Chucho Santelmo to her: under no circumstances must she show him that she wants to bind him to her. But the price for this is high!

The well-rehearsed stage duo Annette Wunsch and Goran Kovacevic will take you on a musical-literary evening to Buenos Aires, the capital of tango, exploring the winding paths of love.
