From its inception – namely just three years ago – the collegium vocale Stuttgart is still in its infancy. However, the ensemble's first performances featuring students and singers from all over Germany were so promising that we gladly awarded it the scholarship of the Stiftsmusik for vocal ensembles. This comes with concerts during the hour, the first of which we are now allowed to hear. Sebastian Hermann, who has since been appointed as the deputy director of the Dresden Kreuzchor, has chosen Martin's Mass, representing the highest category of a cappella art, and emphasizes the capabilities of his collegium vocale with the other works as well.
