Mathematikum für Familien
The Mathematikum in Gießen is the first mathematical hands-on museum in the world.
The traveling exhibition "Mathematics to Touch" presents a selection of the most popular experiments. The compilation of interactive exhibits aims to provide a new, playful approach to mathematics and reflects the great diversity of mathematical themes. Visitors can expect a mix of action and concentration, of doing and thinking, of insight and pleasure at 30 stations, targeted at an audience aged 6 and above.
Additionally, the thematic area "Leonardo in the Mathematikum" is presented. This area takes a modern look at Leonardo's ideas and machines, offering the opportunity to try out the mechanisms themselves and grasp the thoughts of the genius at another 20 stations. The person of Leonardo da Vinci is also introduced in a series of exhibits.
Please note: There is a separate webshop for booking school classes!
