FLAMENCO This art and form of expression originated in Andalusia based on folklore. It has been enriched time and again by all the cultures that came into contact with Andalusia: the Arabic, Jewish, Christian, and the culture of the Andalusian Gypsies. Among the newer influences after the discovery of the Americas is music from South America or even jazz. This unique mixture and symbiosis have made Flamenco one of the most interesting music styles in world music and music history.
VIDA (life): Flamenco is alive. In 2010, Flamenco was declared an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO and can claim to be a living music that constantly evolves. Flamenco is the mirror of life: it contains all desires and dreams, all truths and lies, light and darkness. Just like life itself.
Antonio Andrade
Antonio Andrade was born in La Puebla de Cazalla near Seville. He grew up in his family's culture, Flamenco. His uncle José Menese, one of the greatest legends of Flamenco, was always a role model for him.
Together with his brother Javier Andrade, his manager and producer, he founded his Compañía Flamenca Antonio Andrade and created new trends in Flamenco with successful productions such as “Mi Andalucia,” “Viva Sevilla,” “Flamenco es mi vida,” “Noches de Amor,” “Vaya con Dios,” “Bailando al Cante,” “Lluvia de Tierra,” “Flamenco Suite,” “Mi Carmen Flamenca,” “Torera,” and “Flamenco meets Tango.”
Countless tours have taken him from Europe (including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Prinzregententheater Munich, Philharmonie Warsaw, Konzerthaus Vienna, Teatro Ariston San Remo) across the USA (including Joyce Theatre New York, Fox Theatre Atlanta, Lensic Theatre Santa Fe) to Japan (including International Forum Tokyo, Granship Daichi Shizuoka), China (including Shanghai Oriental Art Center and Beijing Mei Lang Fan Gran Opera), Russia and many other countries like Panama, Turkey, Morocco, Syria, Canada, and Oman.
He also participated in productions such as “Magneten,” directed by André Heller and with companies like the Music Ensemble of Benares (India) or Maria Benitez Teatro Flamenco (USA). Under the direction of Cristina Hoyos and conductor John Axelrod, he worked with the “Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla” on the production “Homenage a Carmen,” which premiered in the Reales Alcázares of Seville.
He is a co-founder and artistic director of the world's first Flamenco theaters – Teatro Flamenco Madrid and Teatro Flamenco Sevilla.

David Bastidas
Flamenco singer, producer, director, and multidisciplinary artist. David was born in Baza (Granada). Although he comes from the most orthodox Flamenco tradition, he has been orienting himself towards contemporary paths in recent years, making him one of the representatives of the new Flamenco. Due to his singing and versatility, he works in the major tablaos and Flamenco theaters of the country such as Teatro Flamenco Madrid and Teatro Flamenco Sevilla as well as at the most prestigious festivals and shows: such as “QUEJIO,” Salvador Távora’s first film, “ALEGORIA,” produced in New York. Thanks to his multidisciplinary approach, he has become one of the protagonists of the show “TACONES MANOLI.” He has collaborated with artists such as Israel Galván or Niño de Elche and is a regular guest at major projects that take him from Gran Vía in Madrid to large international theaters. “... if we had to define David, we could not say that he is just a Cantaor. He is an actor with a powerful and torn voice, as if he were a Flamenco tenor. David is a performer and orthodox; he moves his Bata de Cola, dominates the stage, and penetrates your heart when he allows his emotions to take over your expectations and your very soul...” EL PAIS
