The German-American multi-instrumentalist Chris Hopkins, who has received numerous awards, is among the most internationally booked artists, with over 5000 live concerts worldwide. For over three decades, he has shown how to live your dream, achieve success, and bring and excite countless people together with his music worldwide. Along his journey, he has often shared the stage with many jazz stars like Clark Terry, Scott Hamilton, Butch Miles, Till Brönner, and Götz Alsmann.
Equally proficient on piano and saxophone, he impresses with musical creativity and immense drive. He has been involved in over 50 CD productions, many of which have received coveted awards such as the "Preis der Deutschen Schallplatttenkritik" and the "Prix de l'Academie du Jazz, Paris." Recently, he was honored for his contributions to classical jazz in Europe, among others as a "Keeper of the Flame" as well as with the coveted "Jazz-Pott Award" as "Best Progressive Artist."
Since the 90s, Chris Hopkins often took to the stage as the youngest band member. Now he is excited to present, for the first time, some of the most talented jazz musicians of a new generation - discovered during his teaching work at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, all aged between 23 and 33 - the "Young Lions" and their brand new joint album “CHRIS HOPKINS meets the YOUNG LIONS: Live! Vol. 2”.

* "Shooting Star" Thimo Niesterok (born 1996), with a beautiful, bright tone, has already been invited to jazz festivals in Japan and South Korea, and is undoubtedly already Germany's leading swing trumpeter of his generation.
* Jerry Lu (born 1992), a virtuosic jazz pianist and composer, delights with his sensitive playing and multifaceted improvisations. The graduate of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln is a sought-after soloist and band musician, regularly performing with renowned ensembles such as Tom Gaebel and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
* Lena Lorberg (born 2005), an impressive young bassist, is already captivating the jazz scene at just 18 years of age. With her enthusiasm and musical maturity, she excels in both solo moments and as a reliable foundation in ensembles. She has just been accepted into the prestigious Bundes Jugend Jazz Orchester "BuJazzO."
* Mathieu Clement (born 2001), an extraordinarily virtuosic multi-instrumentalist on drums and vibraphone, has already performed in renowned venues such as the Philharmonie in his home country of Luxembourg and the Stadtgarten Köln. He has just won the "Jungen Münchner Jazzpreis."
