Kongress der Pflanzen - Ein fiktives choreobotanisches Szenario der YET Company
We admire the bouquet on the table and enjoy the shade of the trees in summer. However, when a tree grows in the wrong place, it gets cut down. Most often, we treat plants as objects and cause unrelenting destruction. But what if we took plants seriously as independent and sentient beings? If we could listen to them once, what impact would that have on the relationship between humans and nature?
In their latest dance production, the YET Company invites various botanical representatives to the stage for the Kongress der Pflanzen. Three dancers translate their "voices" into moving and touching scenes, supported by music and video. The Kongress der Pflanzen encourages us to widen our perception and question alternative forms of botanical-human coexistence.
