STOPPOK: TEUFELSKÜCHE - Die Tour mit Band
The Junge Theater, in cooperation with the Cultural Office of the City of Forchheim, has invited the unique STOPPOK with band to Forchheim on Saturday, June 7th, to present his current album "Teufelsküche." The concert starts at 8 PM in the KulturSommerQuartier (Königsbad).
STOPPOK is a singer, musician - a German-speaking singer/songwriter and an exceptional guitarist. His music is a distinctive blend of folk, rock, rhythm'n'blues, and country. He sings with fine humor about the adversities of everyday life and continually redefines himself as a critical observer of his environment. What began in the early 80s with street music has led to over 20 albums, two DVDs, film and theater music throughout his career, making him well-known in the entire German-speaking region, with numerous awards (including multiple winner of the year's prize from the Liederbestenliste, SWR Liederpreis, German Record Critics' Award, "Honorary Antenna" from Belgian Radio, German Music Authors' Award from GEMA 2013, German Small Arts Prize 2015, German World Music Prize RUTH 2016, Tana Schanzara Prize 2020, and the Swiss Song Prize - La Grande Bellezza 2021).
STOPPOK transforms everyday language into poetry, creating images of touching directness. In his songs and concerts, the far-from-silent observer focuses on attitude and values. This is something that has largely been lost in our standardized, multimedia society in its quest for quick success. As important as the lyrics are to him, he has always valued the perfect rhythmic connection of language with music. Whether with his rock band, in a duo, solo, or with his peers: Stoppok always hits the right note and fascinates his audience as a brilliant entertainer.
