Carolin No - ON&ON
The story of Carolin No is the story of a great love: a love between two people. A love for music full of light and shadow, profound lyrics filled with unfulfilled dreams and silent doubts. And Carolin No's life is a life in constant creative change. A life in an incomparably personal relationship between the band and the audience.
For 20 years now, Carolin No alias Carolin and Andreas Obieglo have been living this love, this life - and on their current tour "ON&ON," they share both in an inspiring way with their audience. Carolin No's live program is based on the diverse songs of the new album "ON&ON" and offers "more" of everything: more dynamics, more contrasts, more instrumental colors. And above all: more emotions. It is music that thrives on the intimacy of two perfectly harmonized musicians.
At the same time, this stage program offers everything that has built a loyal fan base for the duo and has garnered over two million streams: touching words that go straight to the heart, the interplay between silent moments and anthemic sounds, as well as Carolin's incomparable voice, giving power to the fast songs and depth to the ballads. And let's not forget: the charming manner in which Carolin and Andreas chat between songs - always with charm and a twinkle in their eye.
Piano, guitar, percussion, accordion, digital sounds - what makes this mix so distinctive and unique is the band's talent for integrating traditional German songs and dialects into their cosmos with warm acoustic and handmade electronics. Carolin and Andreas have forged their own path, without the support of a major record label and without creative compromises. In doing so, they have preserved their independence, doing what they do best: transforming the love they feel every day into music and sharing it with their audience.
Behind the name Carolin No are the two singer-songwriters Carolin and Andreas Obieglo. The two married multi-instrumentalists live - after stints in Berlin and the USA - near Würzburg, where they write and produce their songs. The duo, who have been widely acclaimed and praised by the music press for their albums, have released fourteen collaborative albums with predominantly English and German songs and have performed with greats such as Konstantin Wecker, Reinhard Mey, Hannes Wader, as well as Joan Armatrading and Suzanne Vega.
