Gypsy Jazz - The Virtuosity of Swing

Inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt, the musicians have created a distinctive blend of styles by bringing together pop music with authentic Balkan folk music, French Manouche swing, and Argentine Bossa nova – the result is a unique style: Django-Pop!

In the last two years, the hits of Swing à la Django have conquered the playlists of major radio stations in Hungary and internationally, achieving millions of streams on streaming services. In 2019, they performed with the "Devil's Violinist" Roby Lakatos at the Musikverein in Vienna, in Beijing, and in Soho, London. Other highlights of their career so far include performances at New York's Carnegie Hall, at the Opera Hong Kong, at London's Royal Albert Hall, at the Montreux Jazz Festival, and at the Montreal International Jazz Festival.

The dance to swing music that connects people and makes them addicted. From the 20s to the 40s, this partner dance brought the spirit of the time, an awakening, hope, and pure joy of life, to the dance floor and united people of all nations. Let’s do the Lindy Hop!

Swingin WiWa - Paule Panther´s Groove Club

In 2015, founded by Paule Panther as a pure session band in Walldorf, the Groove Club has transformed over the past years into the ultimate party band with a fixed lineup that has made a name for itself not only in the metropolitan region.

Whether at city and sports festivals, corporate events, or private occasions, PPGC is always a musical highlight.

The repertoire of the eight-member band, which enjoys working with changing guest singers and additional musicians, is remarkably varied. Whether it's rap, funk, reggae, soul, hip-hop, rock, or even a ballad – hardly a genre and no decade is safe from PPGC.

Fun and good vibes on stage quickly transfer to the audience, which enthusiastically joins in after a short ramp-up phase. You can literally feel the spark jumping at performances and the air charged with an incredibly positive energy.

It is the dream of youth to be an influencer and to have many followers. The Swingfluencers are different: They convince with their music without the internet. The Australian singer and double bassist Nicki Parrott, with her wide range from modern to mainstream jazz, has won loyal fans with her inventive playing and warm-timbred voice. Relentlessly gripping on the bass, her emotional singing captivates the audience. Together with three top musicians - among them Frank Roberscheuten, already well-known in Weißenburg as a member of the "Three Wise Men" - she makes songs from the American Songbook swing. "Swingfluencer" is also the name of the latest CD released in summer 2024.

Sunshine, Havel waves, Rathenow summer sky – what could be better than cheeky lyrics and infectious swing music? That's guaranteed when the Berlin "Chanson-Nette" kicks off with her band in the Rathenow Optikpark. "Swing in a different way!" is the motto of this unusual delight. Because "Chanson-Nette" Jeannette Urzendowsky sings German-language chansons and popular hits in the style of the King of Swing, Benny Goodman. It all starts non-stop with hits from Werner Richard Heymann, Friedrich Hollaender, Claire Waldoff, Hilde Knef & Co, newly arranged in the style of the heartbeat music of the 20s and 30s, mixed with popular instrumental titles. With their irresistible music, the four deliver a performance as if they have just tumbled from "Babylon Berlin" into today… and into the Rathenow Optikpark. Both cities are connected not only by the famous world clock at Berlin's Alexanderplatz, which was developed and created in Rathenow. Berlin and Rathenow are also situated along the same river. Of course, Chanson-Nette sings and swings: "Our Havel is our Rhein!!!"
