Sax´n welcome - Saxophonia-Eröffnungskonzert
The opening concert in the Bach Hall of the BDB Music Academy presents first-class saxophone sound from classical and jazz performed by renowned professionals.
In the first half of the concert, works of classical music are on the program. Among others, works by Vivaldi, Bach, Gurdjieff, de Hartmann, and Erwin Schulhoff will be performed. The Saxoufourte ensemble, together with Prof. Patrick Stadler, will present the "Spring" from Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons," as well as the Bach aria "Suscepit Israel from the Magnificat" together with Harry White. In the combination of saxophone and piano, Harry White and Roman Rofalski will perform the "Chant des pêcheuses" by G.I. Gurdjieff (1877-1949) as well as the "Chant persan" and the "Chant arménien" by de Hartmann.
With the "6 Esquisses de Jazz (1927) by Erwin Schulhoff, Harry White and Roman Rofalski bridge to the second half of the concert, which is dedicated to jazz and features the jazz quartet consisting of Peter Weniger, Ben Kraef, Tino Derado, and Arne Huber.
