Yes, you read correctly, the famous master detective Sherlock Holmes and yours truly, Dr. Watson, have found themselves in the Swabian region. Admittedly, not entirely voluntarily. However, our genius couldn't turn down the invitation from an old acquaintance, Baroness von Zuckerberg, to a gala dinner once again. And so, we find ourselves dining here at the same time in the adjacent room of the restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious 3-course menu this evening.
Fleeing from his table neighbor, the endlessly chatty Baroness, the detective narrowly misses the supposed murder of the hostess's husband, Baron von Zuckerberg.
True, his health condition was not the best. But to suddenly fall face-first into the Maultaschen soup is not the elegant English way to die, even in Swabia. For Sherlock Holmes, however, the previously deadly dull evening is saved.
A mystery is afoot, a very tricky case indeed, as the forensic results apparently rule out any poisoning. The interrogations of the witnesses, the medical examiner, and some of the dinner guests make certain innocent lambs in the room appear suspicious. The famous detective eagerly and cheerfully engages his little grey cells. The "Swabian cunning" takes hold, but no false house builder will easily deceive the master. For him, the solution to the case is clear before long. As always, he leaves us in the dark for a while before the murderer is virtuously exposed.
