THE DELINES - "Live Tour 2025"
The Delines arose from the ashes of Richmond Fontaine: RF lead singer/songwriter Willy Vlautin, drummer Sean Oldham, and bassist Freddy Trujillo joined forces with the wonderful singer Amy Boone and Cory Gray on keys and trumpet.
“After almost two years of recording, mixing, and tinkering, we’ve just put the finishing touches on our new record. It’s our most ambitious piece yet, and Boone’s vocals are stunningly beautiful.”
Their debut album COLFAX was released in 2014 and surprised fans and critics alike. COLFAX was reminiscent of a rundown Dusty Springfield or a weary Rickie Lee Jones and made it onto over a dozen year-end top ten lists. It took four years for their second work to be released. Singer Amy Boone spent much of that time in hospital beds recovering from severe injuries sustained in a car accident in Austin, Texas. When she was just strong enough to stand, she completed the vocal tracks for THE IMPERIAL, an album that topped the official Americana charts in the UK for two weeks and for which the band played sold-out shows across the UK and Europe. The band returned with their cinematic third album THE SEA DRIFT, which both Americana UK and BBC6's Gideon Coe, along with over twenty year-end lists in the UK and EU, have named “Album of the Year.” The band performed with their intense live shows at End Of The Road, Take Root, Black Deer, and many other European festivals.
Willy Vlautin is no stranger to critical acclaim. He enjoys successes and rave reviews from such luminaries as the New York Times, the Washington Post, Uncut, Rolling Stone, and Mojo, both as a musician and as a novelist with seven books to his name. Two of his books, “The Motel Life” and “Lean On Pete,” have been turned into major films, and another is currently in production at Netflix and is set to be released in 2025.
