- "Historik-Moldava" - D-2903 - German-Czech Nostalgia Train to Moldava (CZ)!

Historically unique, with much historical background and of course full steam, we will travel for the first time over the "Teplitzer Semmeringbahn" up to Moldava (Moldau).
It was referred to as "Teplitzer Semmeringbahn" due to its challenging route in the steeply rising Ore Mountains.
Today, the route is known as Moldavská horská dráha (Moldavian Mountain Railway) or Krušnohorská železnice (Ore Mountain Railway).
The railway line Most–Moldava v Krušných horách was originally built and operated by the k.k. priv. Prague-Dux Railway (PDE). It runs from Most (Brüx) via Horní Litvínov (Oberleutensdorf) and Osek (Ossegg) to the Ore Mountain ridge to Moldava (Moldau), where until 1945 there was a connection to the Nossen–Moldau railway in Saxony.

Our journey takes us through the beautiful Elbe Valley from Dresden via Decin and Usti, along the Bilina Valley to Most.
In Most (Brüx), at the "Prague-Dux Station," our ascent begins. We will travel over 4 viaducts, through 2 tunnels, and many curves and slopes up to Moldava v Krusnych horach, at an altitude of 782m above sea level. During this, we will overcome 557 meters in altitude, which will be a real challenge for our steam locomotives.
Just as the steam locomotives once ran from Most over Moldau and Holzhau to Nossen - today we still travel to Moldava (Moldau).
In Dubi, we will then change direction, which we will use for a visit to the railway museum at the station.

Let us join our Czech colleagues on a unique "time travel" with a great railway history around Moldava and "experience" it.

During the journey, our service team will pamper you in the snack or bistro car with hearty food and drinks at reasonable prices, including beer from the Landskron BRAU-MANUFAKTUR Görlitz, mineral water, and Bauer fruit juices from Bad Liebenwerda. As we also need the proceeds from the catering for the maintenance of our vehicles, we kindly ask you to refrain from bringing food and drinks.

This trip, like all trips, will only take place if the cost coverage/minimum number of participants is reached. In case of trip cancellation, you will naturally receive a full refund of your fare, but further claims are excluded.

Our journey takes us through the beautiful Elbe Valley from Dresden over Decin and Usti, along the Bilina valley to Most. Here we disembark and begin our tourist program.

Most (Brüx) and Litvínov (Oberleutensdorf) have a lot to offer touristically. The two cities are about 10 km apart and have approximately 18 km of standard gauge tram network with five lines. Among other things, a historic Tatra T3 SUCS operates here, which we want to organize for you. The shifted church of Most as well as Litvinov with the Wallenstein castle and the old town hall are also worth a visit. Of course, you also have the opportunity to enjoy delicious Czech lunch here.

Let us embark on a unique "time travel" with our Czech colleagues, together exploring the great railway history around Moldava and "experiencing" it.
