Emersound – Samba, Rap, Maracatú, Afro Beat, Pop, Funk und Reggae
Emerson connects traditional rhythms with modern hip hop and other Latin music styles to create his EMERSOUND.
EMERSOUND – pure essence of Samba, Rap, Maracatú, Afro Beat, Pop, Funk and Reggae Emerson Araújo.
He began his career as a drummer at the Samba school "Vai Vai", a multiple winner of the Sao Paulo Carnival. Although his music is rooted in Samba, it is very individual and full of energy, similar to Jorge Benjor.
Emerson combines traditional rhythms with modern hip hop and other Latin music styles to create his EMERSOUND, a very special, urban, and extremely energetic fusion of Samba, Reggae, Rap, and Funk – music to drum up excitement with the audience. Amerson Araujo has already had two successful careers in Brazil and Chile. Now he has finally moved to Berlin to take Europe by storm with his band EMERSOUND. He has conducted a number of different projects and is part of the Peter Fox Drumline school "BÄM".
In Sao Paulo, with roots in Colombia, Emerson Araujo has always played music that transcends musical genres. After arriving in Berlin and learning German, Emerson also experimented with German lyrics. However, on his new album Musica Propria, he returned to his mother tongue. Nonetheless, there are bonus tracks entirely in German. EMERSOUND's new album Musica Propria was released in 2016. In addition to EMERSOUND, the album features many friends and companions of Emerson. Among them are Ajani McDowell, Hector Coco Barez (Calle 13), Victor Vagh, and Daveman. EMERSOUND's albums Mi Raza and Live en Santiago de Chile were released for the first time across Europe in November 2015. The highlight, of course, is experiencing the irresistible EMERSOUND grooves live in a concert.
It is a rhythm full of energy that captures everyone. Modern music that escapes all Samba clichés.
In the fish hall, Emersound plays an acoustic set.
