For 18 years, the Akkordeonale has stood for musical encounters, cultural diversity, and the inexhaustible possibilities of an instrument that, like few others, connects emotion, rhythm, and melody.
Under the new direction of Alex de Almeida, Akkordeonale 2027 promises many new colors, rhythms, and musical impulses – while preserving the tradition and the successful festival format of previous years.
With artists from Brazil, Italy, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Germany, an extraordinary sound cosmos emerges between tradition and modernity, virtuosic expressiveness, and improvisational freedom. Akkordeonale 2027 unites Brazilian Forró and Latin American zest for life, poetic soundscapes from Berlin, classical elegance, Eastern European melancholy, as well as modern urban sounds into a fascinating overall experience.
Between delicate solo moments, explosive ensemble passages, and spontaneous musical dialogues, a program full of energy, depth, and personality unfolds.
Participating are the new artistic director and Brazilian accordionist Alex de Almeida with his rhythmic passion beyond all stylistic boundaries, the Italian sound poet Pier Paolo Bertoli, the exceptional Ukrainian accordionist Anna Bodnar with her classical expressiveness, the Slovak singer and accordionist Júlia Masnicová with her touching voice and musical influences from tango, Balkan, and chanson, as well as the Baden accordionist Michael Ziegler (Ziggi Accordion), who brings the accordion to the present with modern sounds and cinematic atmosphere.
The ensemble is accompanied by the Brazilian drummer Mateus do Carmo and bassist Filipe Moreno, whose grooves and rhythmic depth shape the musical pulse of Akkordeonale 2027.
As always, the Akkordeonale thrives on the special magic of the interplay of different musical styles, cultures, and characters that meet on stage and merge into something new, lively, and unique. A festival full of encounters, passion, and sound colors. Virtuosic, touching, and limitless.
