With the program The ART of BRAZILGUITAR, guitarist Martin Müller, who the Süddeutsche Zeitung describes as: “An institution for Brazilian guitar in Germany,” presents the world of guitar music from Brazil. Bossa Nova, Samba, and the unknown note worlds of Brazilian music – with passion and intensity, virtuously interpreted by a musician who has long dedicated himself to this unique and versatile music.
Through his travels and productions with musicians from Brazil, he developed an individual and expressive compositional style for guitar over his more than 40-year career. The magazine Akustik Gitarre called him: “a visionary on the nylon guitar.”
In 1978, he released his first LP, followed by about 30 other recordings, in addition to various publications on specialized literature, that represent his extraordinary versatility as a composer and interpreter. A must – not only for guitar fans.

"Katzenjammer" and other stories -- Guitarist Jeff Aug with new album

Jeff Aug is one of the outstanding fingerstyle guitarists of our time. Many music fans know him as the longtime guitarist of Anne Clark, with whom he was recently on a sold-out European tour in 2025. However, as a solo artist, the native American has also earned an excellent reputation internationally.

With his new album "Interim," released in early 2026, Jeff Aug presents his tenth acoustic instrumental album. The pieces reflect personal experiences and impressions he has gathered in his adopted home in the Allgäu. Inspired by nature among mountains, lakes, and forests, atmospheric compositions full of warmth, melody, and virtuoso guitar art emerge.

"Interim" is also a very personal album. The opening piece "New Day's Dawn" was created together with his son Oskar, while the titles "Ernesto" and "Katzenjammer" are dedicated to the beloved family cat. With a fine sense, Jeff Aug tells stories without words and transforms memories into impressive soundscapes.

Before he tours Europe as a support for Chad Wackerman & The L.A. All-Stars, Jeff Aug comes to Germany for selected solo concerts. An evening full of virtuosic fingerstyle guitar, touching compositions, and musical stories between Americana, folk, and modern acoustic music.

The Dutch guitarist Daniel Verberk, in whose playing – through the use of original amplifiers, guitars, and effects – the essence of Jimmy Page's guitar resonates, not only exudes Page's coolness; he reproduces his nonchalant playing style so convincingly that one might think they are witnessing the spirit of Page being channeled through his guitar.
The native Irishman Dave Harrold is as effortlessly convincing as John Paul Jones himself. His heavy grooves and demonic bass lines transport listeners to another dimension, interrupted only by the occasional moments when they make way for the ethereal sounds of the mandolin.

To say that the native German Jan Gabriel is almost a reincarnation of John Bonham may sound presumptuous to some... but before one hears how he attacks his Ludwig Vista Lite and tympani during Moby Dick, one should refrain from making hasty conclusions.
On the microphone, the voice of the native Englishman Andrew Elt echoes the characteristic Plant vocals. In the dynamic and powerful, occasionally siren-like vocal lines, Elt impressively captures exactly the majestic sound that Plant once immortalized in the studio recordings on vinyl.

Complemented by keyboard virtuoso Remco van Zandvoort, who also masters the old tools with perfection through the Hammond organ and Mellotron, the band is able to dive even deeper into the legendary works of Led Zeppelin.

With a set of over two hours featuring the greatest songs of Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti has already performed hundreds of shows across Europe. With appearances in major cities like Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Amsterdam, and many places in between!

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Joscho Stephan will be back with his Transatlantic Guitar Trio at the Kulturhaus Schwanen Waiblingen. After already captivating the audience with his trio in 2025, three distinguished guitarists from Germany, the United Kingdom, and the USA will come together on the Schwanen stage: Gypsy jazz virtuoso Joscho Stephan, fingerstyle specialist Richard Smith, and multi-instrumentalist Rory Hoffman.
Both the audience and critics are equally thrilled by the diversity of different styles and techniques that the musicians present together in this extraordinary lineup.
When three such different musical signatures meet, it creates a very special musical conversation. This is where the strength of this trio lies. Roxane Elfasci is a French classical guitarist from Paris, trained at the Pôle Supérieur de Paris under Jérémy Jouve and Gérard Abiton. Along with degrees in music performance, musicology, and pedagogy, she pursues an international solo career. Since 2020, she has been releasing recordings with the label Cosmos Music, including Hommage à Debussy, Poésie Française (2023), and the GLASS GAZE project (2025). She regularly performs at renowned festivals and radios such as Radio France and BBC Radio 3, works as a transcriber, author for Guitare Classique Magazine, and reaches over 70,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Niwel Tsumbu is a virtuoso guitarist born in Congo, living in Ireland, with a unique style that blends jazz, classical, rock, folk, and rumba. Praised for his "exquisite and almost seamless" global fusion (All About Jazz), he has worked with the likes of Nigel Kennedy, Sinéad O’Connor, Buena Vista Social Club, and Baaba Maal. In 2021, he was featured on the Grammy-winning album They're Calling Me Home by Rhiannon Giddens & Francesco Turrisi and is currently a member of Giddens’ band.

Tsumbu’s music is characterized by refined rhythm, virtuosic guitar playing, and captivating improvisation. Internationally touring and firmly anchored in the Irish arts scene, he combines emotional depth with global openness in his compositions – a musical flow that brings together cultures, styles, and people.

André Cavalcante (Brazil)

André Cavalcante began his musical career at the age of six on the piano and discovered the guitar at ten. He earned a Bachelor's degree in classical guitar from the University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), but found his calling in music production. Today, he is among the most renowned producers in Brazil’s religious music segment.

He has worked with labels such as Universal Music, Sony, and Somlivre, as well as notable artists such as Gabriela Rocha, Paula Fernandes, Sandy, and Zé Neto e Cristiano. His work has been recognized with three Grammy nominations and several festival awards.

As a solo artist, André is known for his virtuosic fingerstyle technique. His instrumental album has garnered over 8 million views on YouTube. His interpretations of "Oceans," "Hallelujah," and most recently "Agnus Dei" have also resonated internationally.

Currently, André is working on a new instrumental project with an American cellist, continuing to be a prominent figure in contemporary music.

Jaco Liu (China)
Guitarist Jaco Liu is one of the most fascinating emerging artists in the international fingerstyle scene. Born in Baiyin (China), he discovered his passion for fingerstyle guitar at the age of just nine. Due to a lack of available sheet music, he developed an extraordinary ear from an early age and self-taught himself pieces by renowned guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee.

Liu experienced his first breakthrough in 2017 at the age of just twelve: His cover of "Thunderstruck" went viral and reached over 100 million views. This led to television appearances and winning the prestigious Chinese guitar competition WAGF – as the youngest recipient to date. Since then, he has regularly performed on national and international stages and has toured, among others, with Petteri Sariola. Since 2024, he has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden, developing his own artistic style and increasingly shifting the focus to original compositions. In 2025, his third album was already released – made possible by his win of the 6th European Guitar Award.

Peter Finger, the initiator of the "International Guitar Night," achieves the perfect harmony of virtuosity, musicality, and composition.
