It has gotten late, like every Tuesday. At the bus stop of line 7, three people wait, who have met here and have since become friends. Above them shines an oversized advertisement for the latest superhero blockbuster. There sits the teacher, who has worked far too long at school again, the caregiver on the way back from his exhausting night shift, and a cleaner, whose shift is yet to begin. Here, in the glow of the advertisement, the three everyday heroes have time to talk: about their lives, their work, their secret superpowers, and their wishes. Equipped with fan knowledge about the popular cinema superheroes, they embark on a tightrope walk between reality and fantasy. They play out situations where they face supervillains, check capes and tights for their hero suitability, sing a song against the looming burnout, give tutorials with the best hacks from their professional lives, and find out which superpower best suits them. On this evening, personal stories from their professional worlds intertwine with superhero narratives. Together, the three reflect on work, overwhelm, social recognition, personal strengths and weaknesses of the system, and ask themselves the question: What does our world actually need more urgently – superpowers or fair conditions?
Inspired by great superhero myths, B-movies, and popular narrative forms, a theater evening emerges where the real becomes newly experienceable through the fantastic. The boundaries between hero and everyday person blur. The stage becomes the setting for great stories – about the courage to face the impossible, about resilience, change, and the art of getting up again and again.
