She Past Away - Tour 2026 + Support: Vioflesh
SHE PAST AWAY is a dark wave/post-punk duo consisting of Volkan Caner (vocals, guitars, and songwriting) and Doruk Ozturkcan (drums, synthesizers, and production). By experimenting with old and new aesthetics of synth music within their guitar-based core, She Past Away has created a unique sound, an attitude, and sensitivity that is expressed in minimalist, Turkish-sung poetry, taking the audience on a dense, continuous epic journey in both their recordings and live performances.
She Past Away released their critically acclaimed first EP "Kasvetli Kutlama" in April 2009 via Remoov. After the digital release of their debut album "Belirdi Gece" in February 2012, the band signed with Fabrika Records in 2013 and shortly thereafter released "Belirdi Gece" as an LP. With tracks such as "Rituel," "Ruh," and "Kasvetli Kutlama," the album was listed by post-punk.com as one of the best albums of the decade 2010–2019.
With the follow-up album "Narin Yalnızlık," released in May 2015, the two established themselves as one of the most influential and successful artist groups in the dark wave genre, playing numerous well-attended shows around the world. In December 2018, the band signed with Metropolis Records and re-released both albums in North America.
In May 2019, the band presented their beautifully dark and driving new album "Disko Anksiyete," released via Metropolis Records and Fabrika Records.
In May 2020, the band celebrated their tenth anniversary with the remix album "X," which includes remixes by Boy Harsher, The Soft Moon, Clan of Xymox, Front 242, Lebanon Hanover, and many others.
In October 2020, the band released their first live studio recording titled "Part Time Punks Session."
SHE PAST AWAY is a driving, hypnotic outbreak of sentimentally tinged fear from a nihilistic mindset. The music is both personal and far-reaching, like a wandering spirit brave enough to challenge taboos and existence.
