The piano duo consisting of Cristina Marton-Argerich and her master's graduate Antonia Miller is currently establishing itself as an extremely exciting, versatile, and highly sought-after ensemble in this configuration. The piano duo Cristina Marton-Argerich & Antonia Miller captivates across generations with creative program design, stylistic versatility, and finely tuned play.
In 2025 alone, the duo performed over 30 joint concerts in cities such as Zurich, Budapest, Florence, and Berlin. They share a great passion for four-hand piano music or for two pianos and play diverse programs on international stages ranging from Johann Sebastian Bach to György Ligeti.
Their repertoire includes original works for piano duo as well as many unusual arrangements such as the Mozart/Czerny Requiem, Schönberg's Verklärte Nacht, or Bach's Goldberg Variations.
Joint concert activities have taken them to, among others, Zurich (All Schubert program), Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Isarphilharmonie Munich (Program A l’Ungarese), Sendesaal Bremen, Bern, Basel (Program Morgenland), the Old Academy of Music Budapest, Milan, Berlin, London, Frankfurt, Konstanz, Pordenone/Italy, Leon/Spain, and Radovljica/Slovenia.
The two pianists are also strongly committed to fostering the next generation of pianists. Their innovative project initiative "Open Piano Class" won the support award for intercultural dialogue from the Pill-Mayer Foundation and was nominated for the German Engagement Award 2023.
Cristina Marton-Argerich is an internationally renowned pianist whose artistic expressiveness and stylistic depth find admiration worldwide. As a soloist and passionate chamber musician, she fascinates on significant stages and captivates with her musical intensity as well as her versatility.
Her performances have taken her to renowned concert halls such as Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Stuttgarter Liederhalle, Berliner Philharmonie, Frankfurter Alte Oper, Mozarteum Salzburg, Opera House Zurich, BAM Theater in New York, and the Warsaw Philharmonic, and she has performed with numerous renowned orchestras under conductors. Her artistic partnership with Martha Argerich in the piano duo has been celebrated internationally. Together with choreographer Sasha Waltz and her dance company, she has performed worldwide in numerous shows of the successful production "Impromptus."
She studied in Berlin with Prof. Georg Sava and received important impulses through lessons with Christian Zacharias, Leon Fleisher, Dimitry Bashkirov, Stephen Kovacevich, Gyorgy Sebok, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Martha Argerich, Andras Schiff, Radu Lupu, and Alfred Brendel.
In addition to her impressive concert career, she dedicates herself with great commitment to piano pedagogy and shapes a new generation of young pianists. She teaches in Singen at Lake Constance, as a lecturer at the Leopold-Mozart-College of the University of Augsburg, and regularly gives masterclasses in Slovenia, Romania, Spain, Belgium, San Marino, etc. She has been awarded multiple times for her outstanding commitment, her visionary projects, and her intercultural engagement.
Antonia Miller is an internationally successful concert pianist with performances throughout Europe and at globally streamed festivals. She has been studying with Cristina Marton-Argerich at the University of Augsburg since 2014 and has won numerous international competitions and scholarships.
In addition to her intensive piano studies, the artist has also devoted herself to the world of historical keyboard instruments and the forward-looking field of 'Conducting from the Piano'—two areas in which she has significantly expanded her expressive range and explored new musical spaces.
Her active concert activity has taken her to venues such as the Berliner Philharmonie, Isarphilharmonie Munich, Musikverein Vienna-Brahmssaal, Auditorio Ciudad de León, the Old Academy of Music in Budapest, or Paris, Maison Heinrich Heine. As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras such as the Süddeutsche Camerata, the Swiss Camerata Aperta, Orchestra Galilei, Orchestra Filarmonica “Mihail Jora” Bacau, and Collegium Musicum Singen.
In addition to her solo activities, she is also an extremely engaged chamber musician and performs in various chamber music configurations.
As a teacher, she teaches at MKZ Zurich and at the music school in Weinfelden, where she leads the keyboard instruments department. She is also an assistant of the platform "Open Piano Class-by Cristina Marton-Argerich," which was nominated for the German Engagement Award in 2023.
