The biggest advantage in the life of a stand-up comedian? No matter what happens to you, every lucky streak and every catastrophe - eventually it becomes a magnificent stage act. Pure gold indeed! And so Markus Barth digs for the nuggets in his new live show.
The master of maximal-minimalist stand-up ("One stage, one microphone - I leave everything else to Helene Fischer") digs wherever it sparkles - but also where it hurts. He plows through his own biography, wades through current events, and even looks into the future for his audience ("At what age do I actually have to strut through German wine villages with click-clack shoes for road biking?").
In addition, he casually chats with the audience, sparing no one (especially not himself) and effortlessly manages the balancing act between pain and punchline. Because: Comedy is tragedy plus time. Well, and a few jokes don't hurt either. But believe us: Markus Barth has plenty of those in his luggage.
P.S.: The last show of this tour will take place on 27.2.27 at the Gloria in Cologne. After that, Markus Barth will be gone for a while. On a treasure hunt, so to speak. Better check it out beforehand!
Markus Barth has been living and working in the comedy scene for many years. Initially as a writer and head writer for Germany's most successful comedy shows, he then discovered the stand-up stage for himself. Today he hosts his own show on BR Fernsehen ("Cabaret from Franconia"), is a regular guest on all comedy and cabaret shows, and has a radio column on WDR5. In addition, he achieved one of the most successful show developments in recent years with "Queer up! Comedy", he is part of the "Delayed Night Show" at the Comedia in Cologne, and tours all over Germany with comic artist Ralf König as "König mit Barth". On the side, he captivates his constantly growing followers on all social media channels, travels through Europe in a motorhome with his partner and dog, and gets a little closer every year to perfecting the art of making the perfect braised tomato sauce.
