Flames are dangerous, but knowledge protects!
KAES - Der Brandschutzdrache has been educating about fire and its dangers since 2023 and exciting children in the process.
KAES experiences an exciting and educational afternoon with his roommate Kalle and the firefighter Frieda.
Since Kalle has a birthday, KAES wants to surprise him with a birthday cake. Despite all of Kalle's hints and explanations that knives, scissors, and fire are not for little children (dragons), KAES cannot be dissuaded from his plan. Kalle knows nothing of the planned birthday surprise and leaves KAES alone at home as he has an appointment with Frieda. In attempting to bake a birthday cake, the clumsy dragon accidentally sets the kitchen on fire.
How fortunate that Kalle and his little roommate KAES discussed the proper behavior in case of a fire. KAES is able to quickly and safely get to safety and call for help from the fire department. Thanks to the emergency call, firefighter Frieda can swiftly rush to help and extinguish the fire.
During the play, helpful mnemonics and child-friendly tips for fire prevention are conveyed. Together with KAES, the children learn what can happen and how to behave in case of a fire.
The previously conveyed content of the play is discussed with the children afterward. In addition, the mnemonic song is rehearsed and learned again so that the children can remember it in a stressful situation.
Actors:
Dorothea: Dorothea has been a professional theater actress since 2018, primarily for children and teenagers. Among others, she has performed in plays such as "Pippi Longstocking" and "Hare and Hedgehog". Not only as an actress does she amaze children, but also in the role of a director. In 2022, for example, she directed the winter fairy tale "Rapunzel" at the Kresch Theater in Krefeld. "KAES - der Brandschutzdrache" offers her the opportunity to combine her joy in puppet theater with her enthusiasm for working with children in a theatrical experience. Dorothea plays KAES and Frieda in the play KAES - der Brandschutzdrache.
Philipp: Philipp has been performing children's and youth plays at various (city) theaters in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2018. Whether it's Karlsson on the Roof or Rico from Rico, Oskar, and the Deep Shadows, Philipp delights children and teenagers anew with his interpretations of the roles. The play KAES - Der Brandschutzdrache is something very special for Philipp as he has contributed to the text and directed for the first time himself. In his role, he plays Kalle, KAES's roommate.
Lena: Lena has been a professional actress on stage since 2010. Her first engagement took her directly to children's theater, where she got to play the heroes of her childhood, including Lars the Little Polar Bear, Michel from Lönneberger, Emil Tischbein, and Cat Findus. In many of her productions, Lena has also worked as a choreographer. She loves working with children and regularly gives dance workshops and theater courses. Currently, she is also performing at the ComicOn! Theater in Cologne and is involved with four plays and an audio play against bullying and cyberbullying. Lena plays Frieda and KAES in the play Kaes - der Brandschutzdrache.
Aaron: has been performing at various theaters since 2017. Through his work in children's theater, he has gained valuable experiences that have motivated him to further his education in this area. Since 2021, he has been working, among others, for the Theaterpädagogische Werkstatt and performing preventive theater programs for children there. Aaron plays Kalle, KAES's roommate.
