One cannot step into the same river twice, says Heraclitus; everything is in a state of constant flux. One thinks of the Berlin Brandenburg Airport and realizes: the ancient Greek was right.
"Everything is in a state of constant flux" – this is the conclusion Urban Priol regularly comes to when he is sitting at his press release text just before the deadline.
Similar to a river in constant change, his new program also evolves. With a keen eye, the cabaret artist observes the constant flow of political events, even though the German political landscape of recent years, especially the grand coalition, more closely resembles a reservoir than a flowing stream. Priol is always at the cutting edge, spontaneously and with current relevance, often mocking faster than his shadow can think. He grumbles, thunders, flashes, and, like a cleansing thunderstorm, illuminates many things in a bright, cheerful light. Master of parody, he plows tirelessly through the night, getting to the heart of complex issues and transforming opaque-turbid whirlpools into pure spring water. With joy, he plunges into the torrents of daily absurdity, delves into the abyss of the absurd, gleefully mocks, and has just as much fun as his audience.
