Oh dear, a competition. Yayyyy. But with us, it's a bit different because we have long declared the age of competition among women and FLINTA* to be over. That means: In our SLAM format, a total of 6 female, queer and/or FLINTA* comedians do NOT compete "against" each other. But "with" each other. Oracle-like, questions on beer mats are answered, played and laughed at, and jokes are made, and yes, of course, in the end the audience tosses the received heart chips into the piggy banks, but here neither subjective numbers from a jury are held up nor is there voting based on applause meters or the thickest wallet. But rather, it's done in a grassroots democratic manner. And in the end, only the comedy act that has the most chips in the piggy bank finds out that he/she/they has won. And the Instagram bubble.

SMASH COMEDY is Hamburg's first and only queer feminist stand-up comedy show, celebrating the women, FLINTA* & queers of the German comedy scene - for more visibility of marginalized groups, individuals, and topics that barely take place on conservative comedy stages.

SMASH SPEZIAL - Stand Up Comedy and Dirty Talk with Schwessi and Xenia

The two Hamburg comedians Xenia Brandt and Schwessi present 30 minutes each of Stand Up Comedy solo program and afterwards invite you to a refined Dirty Talk. Taboos will be smashed and all questions regarding very personal topics such as addiction, homelessness, and single mom life can be asked - funny anecdotes guaranteed.

Xenia Brandt is known for her rebellious humor and spicy topics that have made many a sailor blush. You may know her as the host of the Smash Comedy Open Mic, or as the cover girl of Hinz+kunzt, who recently shared her story: how Xenia lived on the streets for years, and why Stand Up Comedy is her great love and her liberation. Xenia has already shared the stage with Moritz Neumeier, was a finalist at the Mannheim Comedy Cup in the sold-out CAPITOL, and at the Comedy Hot Shots of the Quatsch Comedy Club in Berlin.

SCHWESSI has no time for last names as a single mother. She polarizes online and live on stage with her jokes, her videos, and her songs, only to reunite everything beyond all clichés. Content-wise, the AfD along with patriarchy meets full-on humor and ruthless self-irony, and feminist utopias meet the apocalypse.

To enrich the male-dominated Stand Up scene in Germany with new, female and queer perspectives and to give marginalized voices more visibility and hearing, Schwessi founded Germany's first queer-feminist Stand Up Comedy Open Mic in March 2023: the “Smash Comedy Club.” Everyone is welcome in the audience, but the stage belongs exclusively to FLINTA* (women, lesbians, inter, trans, agender) and queer comedy acts.
