Die Ganovenmäuse
A mouse detective story for young and old from 4 years upwards (approx. 50 mins)
adapted by Karin and Josef Kehrle for the Marionette Theater Mottenkäfig
The three mice Ede, Albert, and Dicki lived in a movie theater and enjoyed themselves there. Under the seats, they found popcorn, peanuts, and all kinds of goodies. And they could even watch all the movies shown in the cinema for free. They were particularly enthusiastic about the gangster films. One day, they decided to start their own gang and become crooks.
Before the newly formed gang trio can finalize its plans for the "big score", the coup of the century, the cinema burns down, and the three flee to a cheese shop. What could be better than a mouse's life in a cheese shop!? While Albert plays chess all day, Dicki indulges in cheese after cheese, boss Ede is still planning the "big score".
One morning, the sparrow lady Lilly tells him that a jeweler's shop has opened in her street. Ede is immediately excited, and his plan is set: The gang is going to steal jewels! Everything goes well, the break-in seems to succeed... But then Dicki gets kidnapped. Now the story takes a different turn: Ede, Albert, and Lilly must use all their skills to save their friend.
Whether they succeed and what the parrot Lord Nelson and Paul, the city's most dangerous cat, have to do with it, the audience can experience live at the Mottenkäfig.
A play with hand and rod puppets filled with suspense, music, and a real gangster song.
