Phil it! - Phil Collins & Genesis Tribute Show

The Tuttlingen premiere of the 14-member tribute band in front of a sold-out house in November 2023 could not have been more exuberant – many who missed out on tickets for the first concert can now look forward to the re-invitation to the town hall.

When Philip David Charles Collins was born on January 30, 1951, in Chiswick, England, no one could have imagined the phenomenal successes that little Phil would one day celebrate. While for many a single number 1 hit marks the peak of a career, Phil Collins is just getting started. Grammy awards, Golden Globe awards, and even an Oscar are among Phil's accolades. With Genesis and later as a solo artist, he celebrated worldwide successes and rose to become one of the first megastars. Whenever the hits of Phil Collins and Genesis are played, whether on the radio, live, or privately at home, his distinctive voice is instantly recognizable. Many people can sing along or connect their stories with the music that has accompanied them through all walks of life for many years.

"We want to present the songs of Phil Collins and Genesis the way they deserve. We put our homage to some of the greatest hits in pop history into every note." This is what the members of Phil It! say. They themselves grew up as fans with his songs, and every musician in the band has their own unique experience with the music of Phil Collins and Genesis. "Phil": The eleven-member group around the singer and entertainer Jürgen "Phil" Mayer is considered by many fans and critics to be currently the best Phil Collins and Genesis tribute band in Europe. The friendly group from the Karlsruhe area authentically offers the versatile and complex music of the British superstar Collins and his former band "Genesis." Singer Jürgen "Phil" Mayer comes very close to his great idol: vocally, visually, and with outstanding stage presence.
In a two-and-a-half-hour show, Collins and Genesis fans can of course listen to the world hits: "Against All Odds," "Another Day in Paradise," "Easy Lover," "Invisible Touch," and the anthem "Carpet Crawlers." The professional band with two female singers and a brass section ensures an unforgettable concert experience at the highest musical level. And surprises gourmets with one or two lesser-known Collins and "Genesis" songs.

"Phil" brings the original sound of Phil Collins and Genesis. With the eleven-member band led by the charismatic singer Jürgen "Phil" Mayer, the name says it all. The repertoire of the now internationally successful formation from the Karlsruhe area consists exclusively of hits by the English megastar and his former band, "Genesis".

Phil Siemers solo

Singer-songwriter Phil Siemers is considered a newcomer. Alongside impressive performances in TV shows like Inas Nacht and the Pierre M. Krause Show, he has convincingly demonstrated on various stages that he captivates his audience live with his unpretentious soul timbre, timeless songwriting, and passion for handcrafted, analog soundscapes. His album "Marleen" was released in September 2022, and Phil Siemers recently released a song together with Gregor Meyle and is currently working on his third studio album. Starting in 2024, the multi-instrumentalist will bring his songs to the stage solo for the first time – with the skillful use of a loop station, he creates the sound of a complete band seemingly effortlessly before the eyes and ears of the audience. He layers and stacks guitar and keyboard parts, multi-part harmonies, and laid-back grooves, presenting the songs from his two albums in a new way. An evening that promises not only an extraordinary musical experience but also a deep insight into the creative versatility of the young artist.

Who doesn't know them, world-famous orchestras like the Berlin or Vienna Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, or the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam? The legendary status of such caliber ensembles leaves the orchestra members almost no choice but to take on the role of guardians of the symphonic repertoire. However, they still show that they are quite "normal," grounded musicians who love their instrument and simply have a lot of fun playing music with others, jamming, and improvising, as demonstrated by Philharmonix in their spectacular concerts. For Philharmonix stands for Philharmonie + X. The 7 virtuosos – all members of the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonics – are rooted in classical orchestral music, but the X brings the extra kick into play when they present Beethoven as Gypsy Swing or when Sting suddenly sounds a bit like Schubert. Can the style of Philharmonix be put into words? Yes, the ensemble believes so and explains it quite simply: "Not everything in our program is classical music. But everything has musical class."
