Tango & Bach mit dem Ensemble CONEXUS im Schloss Wiesenburg
Tangos by Astor Piazzolla and music by Bach - with this bold combination - lat.= CONEXUS, Tabea Höfer and Marek Stawniak have been winning the hearts of their listeners since 2016. Their joy in playing and, above all, curiosity now leads the two on new paths. Following the sound idiom of their instruments, they bring very different music to life - daring time leaps in music history included! With musical passion and great virtuosity, they allow their audience to partake in the resonating experiments between Baroque music and Tango - perhaps inspired by the knowledge of Piazzolla's love for Bach...
Tabea Höfer - Violin/Viola
Born in Potsdam, Tabea Höfer was engaged for seven years as a violinist in the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra after her studies at the “Hanns Eisler” School of Music in Berlin. With this orchestra and other ensembles, she has performed in Europe, America, and Japan. Following her in-depth engagement with music before 1750 and the Baroque violin, she has been involved for many years in extensive concert activities, where she is sought after as a soloist, chamber musician, and increasingly as a concertmaster. Her artistic work regularly brings her together with outstanding vocal soloists, instrumentalists, and renowned ensembles. A pronounced curiosity and passion for other eras sometimes drive her to entirely new musical shores. Recently, concert projects have emerged featuring tangos by Astor Piazzolla as well as programs with romantic piano trio repertoire. In addition, she has been working since 1997 as a music therapist in a psychiatric day clinic in Berlin and teaches at the Berlin music school “Béla Bartók”.
