Already in 2023, star tenor Julian Prégardien, the Jagstmühle, and we showed the artistic depth that a multifaceted, multi-hour program of music, literature, and culinary delights can have. Therefore, it is particularly necessary to continue to shape this cultural event. A high-profile lineup of artists will once again take you into the world of Franz Schubert. The concert will be divided into three musical sections, each followed by a flying buffet featuring Austrian specialties. The individual parts will also take place at different locations on the grounds of the Jagstmühle – the perfect setting for Schubert's music. Among other pieces, you will hear the Erlkönig, the Trout, or songs like An die Musik or Auf dem Wasser zu singen.
Julian Prégardien is undoubtedly one of the most notable and sought-after tenors in the world. Therefore, we are very pleased to have him back for this project. He has also invited his musical friends Bryan Benner and Johannes Held.
Bryan Benner caused international attention with his quartet "The Erlkings," with which he has respectfully translated Schubert's and Schumann's songs into English in an extraordinary lineup. The native American, baritone, guitarist, and singer-songwriter humorously describes himself as a "Schubadour." This label, while only partially capturing the exceptional diversity of his musical passions and expressions, illustrates his unpretentious and virtuously playful approach to the most varied genres. "Johannes Held is a baritone with a firm, luminous core and compelling expressive power," writes Susanne Benda in the Stuttgarter Zeitung about the German baritone. He is an award-winning opera and song singer, founder of the art song festival DER ZWERG in Sindelfingen, and performs worldwide with international orchestras, opera productions, and chamber music.
