Germany's popular meerkats are going on tour for the first time with a big stage show starting in October 2018!
Known from the children's TV program "KIKA," the curious, lovable, and slightly clumsy meerkats "Jan and Henry" experience interesting adventures for the young audience.
About the stage show:
For the first time, Theater Lichtermeer is bringing the well-known TV series "Jan and Henry" to the stage.
Similar to the good old Muppets movies, puppets and humans unite to form a theatrical ensemble in which a live performance with singing, dancing, and music takes place in front of a large, versatile stage set.
In our stage show, Jan and Henry live in their burrow under a rental house. They are familiar with and love the sounds from the house above them. One day, a new caretaker moves in. After that, many of the beloved sounds vanish. Jan and Henry set out to investigate the matter... Jan and Henry - on a musical mission, for the first time on a theater stage, in a fun and exciting story with lots of music.
About Jan & Henry and Martin Reinl:
The meerkat brothers Jan & Henry are usually kept awake every night by a new, unknown noise. With lots of curiosity and imagination, they try to solve every mystery. This leads to the funniest stories.
Puppeteer Martin Reinl (Puppenstars/RTL, Woozle Goozle/SuperRTL, Zimmer frei/WDR) is passionate about his work. Countless awards are a testament to his creativity, including children's media awards like the Golden Sparrow, The White Elephant, or Emil, as well as several Grimme Prize nominations.
