No Helau, no Alaaf, no costume, no carnival. Just honest noise and cold beer. But that's not all: in addition to the concentrated live sound, you can expect a small, thematic surprise program that perfectly fits the anti-carnival mood. Those who prefer headbanging over shouting Helau know where they should be on Sunday before Rose Monday. – See you at Pitcher.

PIT OF DOOM
PIT OF DOOM WAS FOUNDED IN APRIL 2001 IN OBERHAUSEN (NRW). THE BAND HAS CONSISTED OVER THE YEARS MAINLY OF BASSIST KATHARINA GUTHOFF AND HER BROTHER FABIAN GUTHOF, WHO HANDLES DRUMS AND VOCALS. PIT OF DOOM IS COMPLETED BY LUKAS ULLRICH, WHO HAS BEEN WITH THEM AS A GUITARIST SINCE 2009. PIT OF DOOM HAS EXPLORED A VARIETY OF STYLES AND GENRES OVER 20 YEARS, BUT HAS BEEN MOVING IN A MIX OF GROOVE, DEATH, AND MODERN METAL AT LEAST SINCE 2013 AND THEIR ALBUM ATONEMENT. IT TOOK EIGHT YEARS FOR THE TRIO TO RELEASE THEIR SECOND LONG PLAYER DESPAIRITY, IN EARLY 2021 IN COLLABORATION WITH THE FINEST NOISE. THE FIRST SINGLE "CONSTRUCTORS" WAS RELEASED IN MID-DECEMBER 2020, FOLLOWED BY THE SINGLES "THE HOLLOW," "THE LOST," AND "WHEN LIGHT BECOMES THE DEMON." IN 2025, THE BAND IS WORKING ON THEIR THIRD STUDIO ALBUM AND HAS ALREADY PERFORMED A FEW NEW SONGS AT THEIR RECENT SHOWS.
DROWN IN EMBERS
Drown in Embers was founded in 2012 by Peter Lützeler (guitar), Martin Blum (drums), and Reinhart Redel (bass). Four years after their former band “Exchased” broke up, the musicians came together again to develop the concept for Drown in Embers and incorporate the influences they had gained during that time. Once the first songs were written and the concept had developed into a real band, they began the search for a second guitarist and a singer. The former was quickly found in Jacques Moch, who had already filled in at the last concert of "Exchased" and became a member of Drown in Embers in 2014. The search for a singer proved to be much more difficult, which is why the single "Infinity Declined" was initially released, for which the band was able to acquire Jon Howard from the Canadian thrash metal band Threat Signal as a guest vocalist. After a long search for a singer, Drown in Embers has been presenting themselves with Nikita Kabakov as the frontman since 2019. Finally with a complete lineup, their first album sees the light of day in November 2019. “Remembrances of the Argonaut” guides the listener through a modern adaptation of the Argonauts' legend. The album was produced independently, with Jon Howard (Imonolith, Threat Signal) and his Woodward Studio handling the mix and mastering. Since 2021, Laurenz Molnar has taken over the position of Jacques Moch, who left the band for personal reasons. In 2022, there was another change in the guitar position. After Laurenz Molnar had to leave the band for time reasons, Eike Steffen has since taken over the second guitar.
SIGNS OF WEAR
“Signs of Wear” – the name says it all. The band stands for music that leaves traces. Real, raw, emotional sounds that reflect life, with all its fractures, scars, and beauties. “Signs of Wear” does not mean decay – it means history, experience, and authenticity. And that is precisely what the music conveys. Musically, the band moves within metal without letting themselves be pigeonholed. Sometimes brutal and angry, sometimes melodic and contemplative – their songs are multifaceted and thrive on contrast. The influences range from modern groove elements to classic heavy riffs to atmospheric moments that allow for depth. Each song tells a story – honest, unvarnished, and close to life. The classic lineup – guitar & vocals, lead guitar, bass, and drums – gives the band a solid foundation. But what they make of it is far more than standard: complex arrangements meet catchy melodies, raw energy meets emotional depth. Despite their musical intensity, “Signs of Wear” remains approachable. The band is not an aloof artistic figure but a grounded collective of people who live what they do with passion and conviction. Authenticity ranks above all for them – on stage as well as off. “Signs of Wear” – these are signs of life. Shaped by the journey, but never broken. Metallic. Human. Real.
