This concert tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is a true labor of love for the Munich musician, songwriter, poet, and film composer. On stage, Wecker presents for the first time a selection of his fantastic film scores from over 45 years, along with many of his greatest songs and musical melodies.

The opulent sound of the concerts is provided, as with the celebrated Utopia tours, by the Konstantin Wecker Band featuring Jo Barnikel, Fany Kammerlander, Norbert Nagel, Jürgen Spitschka, and a surprise guest. The vision of making a selection of Konstantin Wecker's legendary film scores audible to many people on a large tour originated with the unforgettable experience of the Munich Tollwood concert in the summer of 2023. Wecker bows with his new stage program Der Soundtrack meines Lebens to famous actors and directors from the last five decades. His compositions have become part of German film history. Konstantin Wecker (76) has shaped feature films, series, and popular television movies with his distinctive melodies: alongside Schtonk, one of the most successful German film satires of all time, the cult series Kir Royal, and film classics such as Die Weiße Rose, Peppermint Frieden or television films like Liesl Karlstadt und Karl Valentin and Appolonia.

The audience can look forward to a unique evening: with unforgettable film music and many Wecker songs, including Die weiße Rose, Erst seit du Abschied bist, Sage Nein, Tango Joe, and many more.

In addition, Konstantin Wecker shares stories about his life, his songs, and anecdotes: about films, movie stars, and directors such as Margarethe von Trotta, Senta Berger, Mario Adorf, and the late directing legends Helmut Dietl and Michael Verhoeven, for whom he composed his film scores, and with whom he has co-written film history.

The concerts Der Soundtrack meines Lebens (tour premiere on October 4 in Straubing) will excite lovers of cinema and film as well as all Wecker fans.

Known for her keen observational skills, Stefani Kunkel also presents the tragicomic moments of life with great versatility in her new solo program Im Winde verlebt (Weathered in the wind).
Hessischer Rundfunk describes Kunkel's performance as "wonderfully satirical and enchantingly funny". And all this at the age of around 40! Or maybe in her mid-40s. Some claim she's probably nearing the end of her 40s. But that's just an estimate from afar and in dim light. However, it's not just aging that the different female characters in Kunkel's new program are dealing with. They struggle with life and the madness of everyday existence.

Whether as an aging diva ("After our breakup, my ex moved to Homberg-Efze. Homberg-Efze!!! That breakup must have been more important than the place to live."), as an overwhelmed employee ("Whenever I find myself exhausted lying in the hallway, I remember why my self-written book came so easily to me. It's titled: WORK - LIFE - BURNOUT in three days."), or as a dedicated volunteer ("A woman my age needs candlelight from below!") - each of Kunkel's characters has their own strategy to defy the stormy struggles of life and aging.

In the village of Huisum, it is court day and village judge Adam stumbles out of bed and over himself first thing in the morning. At least that's what he claims to explain his various injuries. This is just the first of many lies that the judge will shamelessly tell. The true reason for his injuries is the result of an abuse committed the night before. Eve's fiancé Ruprecht is to be conscripted into the military and shipped off to Asia, from where almost no one returns alive. So says Judge Adam and suggests to Eve that she save Ruprecht from conscription with a secretly issued certificate. When he pressures the young Eve in her room, he is surprised by Ruprecht, escapes with a jump through the window, and injures himself in the process. The silent witness to the nocturnal events is a jug that now lies in shards. Eve's mother Marthe brings this to court, accusing Ruprecht of the nighttime assault. He vehemently denies it, while Eve is blackmailed by Adam and remains silent. The village judge opens the trial, determined to obscure his own guilt and convict an innocent man. Adam encircles himself with threats and intimidation, further lies, and false accusations, creating a seemingly secure wall of protection...

In almost obsessive fashion, Heinrich von Kleist brought the existing orders and rules of his time to the breaking point in his dramas and stories. So it is here as well. By the end of the comedy, many things are put to the test: love, family, state reasons, innocence.

Abuse of power, facilitated by naivety, invasion of privacy, collusion and camaraderie among authorities, arrogance of power... certainly contemporary themes that we address in our play.

At first glance, Juno's life moves in tight circles. She cares for her seriously ill husband Jupiter, goes to ballet class, buys pizza slices, and writes applications to secure her precarious existence as a performance artist. Statistically speaking, Juno has 23 years left on this earth. Yet even though she has somehow settled there: time and again it seems to her as if she is merely playing the role of herself.
And then there is Benu, the love scammer from Nigeria, who writes Juno love messages under a false identity, eventually to demand money from her. It's a game that Juno has long seen through and initially plays along with, until she finally exposes Benu. Nevertheless, the two continue to write to each other, sharing trivialities, meal plans, poems. They video call, often for several hours. They seem to need each other - but for what, really?
In "Hey guten Morgen, wie geht es dir?" Martina Hefter unfolds with astonishing ease the individual layers of a life characterized by narrowness, absence, and dependencies - and defies all these hardships: with imagination. Every flicker at the edges of the things Juno invents points to the potential of a dream world: the possibility that the ordered life opens up to something new, to something exciting. And the possibility that even what once seemed like a secure reality becomes more and more of an illusion.

Martina Hefter, born in 1965, lives in Leipzig. She studied at the German Literature Institute there, and has since worked as a performance artist and writer. In 2001, she made her debut with her novel "Junge Hunde"; followed by "Zurück auf Los", "Die Küsten der Berge", and with "Nach den Diskotheken" Hefter's first poetry collection. Additionally, she developed dramatic and performative works, such as "Linn Meier (†2019)" and most recently "Soft War" at Schauspiel Leipzig. Her work has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prize of the German Literature Fund and the Literature Prize of the state capital Wiesbaden. As a guest lecturer, she regularly taught at the Literature Institute Leipzig.

1-Star Quiz, musical chaos, talk, texts and live radio play - this reading stage is unmatched. Uli Höhmann and Jan Cönig have created exactly the show they would love to visit. With a perfect mix of literature to nonsense and high-profile guests from poetry slam, literature, and cabaret, the two Frankfurt authors and solo artists have crafted an entertaining highlight that simply must be experienced: Lisa kommt nicht - die Lesebühne.
This time featuring: Laura Paloma. The Frankfurt native talks about an analog past and a hopeful future, weaving the everyday with the absurd between poetry, rap, and prose, publishes her texts in various magazines, and is passionate about the world of cinema.
Also joining: Marvin Suckut - a veteran of poetry slam and reading stages from Lake Constance, organizer of smaller and larger literature events, and author of the book Ich kann ja sonst nichts (Tinx-Verlag), but he can do this very, very well. And of course without Lisa.

At the end of a year, one asks oneself the anxious question: What all happened again? How can one remember it all? One wants to be part of the conversation. Holger Paetz has gathered the "highlights" of the year and presents them in his irresistible one-man show “So schön war ́ s noch selten!” - A cabaret rollercoaster ride through the past 12 months. The past year has once again shown what can happen in 365 days. Before that, we bow our heads in awe. Holger Paetz looks back with respect.

The Munich cabaret artist and poet is a verbal virtuoso of cabaret literature. For over ten years, he has been holding his satirical reviews. Paetz reflects on political and everyday matters, breaks taboos, and dissects contentious issues sustainably. Never before has the past year appeared so beautifully bleak.

Christmas time is Goethe time, at least in Wetzlar: On a guided tour through the festively decorated old town, you will meet Catharina Elisabeth Goethe, who tells about her son Johann Wolfgang's first ice skating experience. Meanwhile, the innkeeper Kilian is near despair: He is trying to bake Goethe’s favorite treat, Frankfurt Brenten, for the audience. And then there’s the matter of the Christmas tree… The maid Trude learns to her astonishment that it is said to have come to America through a tailor's apprentice from Wetzlar. You can look forward to it.

Following the costume tour, a hot beverage awaits you in the twinkling lights of the Advent village at Schillerplatz.

The building at today's Hauptstraße 46 has been known to the residents of Bad Nauheim as the "Pfälzer Hof" since the early 20th century. The history of the building goes back far into the Middle Ages. It possibly belonged to one of the six estates from which the village of Nauheim is said to have emerged. The estate experienced frequent changes of ownership, belonging among others to the monasteries of Seligenstadt and Fulda as well as various secular lords, until the property was gradually sold off in the 19th century. The lecture deals with the eventful history of the estate, which is of central importance to the local history.

Formerly there was more tinsel - not only on the Christmas tree, but also on the German hero's chest. Because our great-grandfathers and grandfathers went to collect orders in the hail of bullets of the last century, they rarely had a "Silent Night"...

All the more were their mothers and wives eager to make that little bit of peace even more idyllic: the kitsch industry flourished! Whether it was a shapely smoke consumer or a Lore novel—what our ancestors put under the Christmas tree for each other and recited and sang on Christmas Eve is hardly imaginable today.

One more reason for the music cabaret artist and collector Jo van Nelsen to snatch these memories from oblivion and bring forth some curiosities from the depths of dusty archives: newspaper advertisements with obscure gift ideas and stories of double Santas and dead soldiers under the Christmas tree; poems for well-behaved children in sailor suits and Hitler Youth training booklets for designing the Christmas evening at home—they all come together in an entertaining and eerie panopticum of German kitsch and heroism between the founding of the Empire and hour zero.

All this underscored with contemporary kitsch postcards and Christmas carols directly from the gramophone, as only a true "German" men's choir can sing!

Be there when Archangel Gabriel announces the birth of Christ to the shepherds through the funnel, when socialists want to abolish Christmas, and French corsets are denounced as un-German Christmas gifts. Surrender yourself to an evening full of kitsch and pathos, so that you too can join in wholeheartedly with the verses at the end:

"Oh Lord, my feeble singing,
Take it in grace,
It will sound better sometime,
When I am in heaven."
