During government-critical protests in the spring of 2024, the video opera "Death in Peace" was created in the streets of Tbilisi. In the production by Ayla Pierrot Arendt, embedded in the stirring sound world of the composer duo Nika Pasuri and Ani Zakareishvili, the protagonists of three different nationalities meet on four screens: two Georgians, two Germans, and a Russian in Georgian exile. Equipped with their respective notions of peace and freedom, friend and foe, which cannot be disentangled from their political biographies, they encounter each other in the narrative of the Georgian Natia and the Russian deserter Andrej. It doesn't take long before Andrej is dead, accidentally shot, in the very German embassy in Tbilisi, by the ambassador's husband. His death raises many questions: about the price of freedom, the limits of diplomacy, the gaps and myths of collective identity, and about loyalties – grounded in a spreading fear in an insecure Europe full of conflicts.

In the heights of the Argentine Andes, an adventure begins that promises not only archaeological sensations but also a real relationship chaos: “Dr. Jones & das Geheimnis der Perle,” the new comedy musical by Anne Liebisch, is full of wit, heart, and musical surprises.

At the center is Dr. Lara Jones, a world-renowned archaeologist in search of the legendary Manabí pearl. But when a landslide traps the expedition team on a remote rock plateau at Aconcagua, the research expedition turns into a quirky group training under extreme conditions. Without contact to the outside world, with dwindling supplies, and plenty of personal tensions, a struggle for survival begins that is as turbulent as it is comical.

Also on board: a self-absorbed influencer with a ring light, a charming ex-husband with surprising talents, a quiet assistant with potential for growth – and a constantly complaining financier who only communicates via video call.

Amid power outages, social media pressures, and resurfacing old feelings, not only the nerves but also the hearts of the characters come into motion... a wink at modern vanities, old wounds, and the question of what really binds us together in a crisis. A musical about people who must learn to turn on their own light in the dark – and perhaps grow closer to each other than they would like.

Trains come and go, and in the midst of it all, a flicker remains: of farewells, of hope, and of the feeling that something new could begin at any moment.

The ensemble of the beloved youth circus Zarakali showcases what has been worked on for a year: diabolos, juggling with balls and clubs, acrobatics on the ground and in the air, balancing acts on the tightrope and unicycle choreography. Come, be amazed, and join us as the Young Theater Workshop transforms into a circus ring.
