My Hero Academia in Concert is based on the successful manga by Kōhei Horikoshi, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, earned more than 130 million US dollars at the box office, and captivated a global fanbase with over 4.3 million followers on social media. The concert series will premiere on May 30, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama in Japan and will then continue in the USA and Europe in the fall. Music and visuals meld into an emotional live experience that re-experiences the triumphs, conflicts, and great moments of the series over ten years.
“Bringing this music to the stage live changes the way the audience experiences the series,” says Floris Douwes, Producer and Managing Director at GEA Live. “Hayashi's compositions not only accompany the storyline. They drive the emotions and intensify every single moment of the show.” The concert is a tribute to long-time fans as well as to new viewers. “We are very excited to bring the world of My Hero Academia to life in a whole new way,” adds a spokesperson from TOHO. “This concert gives fans the opportunity to experience the music, action, and heart of the series live, creating unforgettable moments for an audience worldwide.” Ten years after the anime debut in April 2016, My Hero Academia reaches a special milestone in 2026. Alongside an official anniversary logo, a special teaser visual, and the announcement of a new extra episode, the worldwide concert tour marks another highlight of this anniversary year.
The story takes place in a world where most people have superpowers, known as "Quirks." The focus is on Izuku Midoriya, who is born without special abilities but dreams of becoming a hero like his idol All Might. When he inherits All Might's Quirk and is accepted into U.A. High School, his journey begins—shaped by training, responsibility, and the battle between heroes and villains.
